Indications

The main action of this drug is on the mucous membrane of stomach, bowels, and air-passages, bones and fibrous tissues, kidneys, heart, and liver. It is indicated for nephritis with gastric disturbances, cirrhosis of liver, anemia and general weakness. It is very useful intreating inflammatory conditions of pharynx, larynx, bronchi and nose with tough , stringy and viscid secretions Head: Dizziness with nausea when rising from a seat. Headache with neuralgic pains at the supra-orbital region preceded by blurred vision. Pain, pressure and fullness in the glabella. One sided pain in the forehead and soreness of the bones and scalp. Eyes: Neuralgic pains in the supra-orbital region especially on the right side. Swelling of the eyelids with burning sensation and yellowish discharge. Corneal ulcers without pain or photophobia. Inflammation of Descemet's membrane, iris, conjunctiva and eyelids with only moderate irritation of eye. Nose: Snuffles of children from blockage of nose. Pressing pain at the root of nose, and sticking pain in the nose. Ulceration of nasal septum with fetid smell and thick, ropy, greenish-yellow discharges. Inflammation of nasal mucosa extends to frontal sinuses, with pressing pain and fullness at the root of the nose. Post nasal dripping with loss of smell and hawking. Difficult to breathe through the nose with dryness and coryza, from obstruction of nose. Violent sneezing with watery discharge. Throat: Congestion and dryness of throat with redness and swelling of fauces. Inflammation of parotid glands and tonsils, and swelling and oedema of the uvula. Exudations like pseudo-membranous deposit on tonsils and soft palate with extreme prostration. Mouth ulcers with burning extending to stomach. The discharges are tough and stringy.
